What started as one special gift evolved into a business built on creativity, care, and a love for handcrafted art.

My story

After a rewarding career as a Visual Merchandising Manager, I found it increasingly difficult to balance the demands of a high-pressure job with my family life. The fast-paced retail industry, combined with the responsibilities of home, led me to realise that a change was needed. I’ve always had a creative side, and over the past year, I’ve been able to fully explore and nurture that passion. It was during this time that I discovered hand embroidery—a craft that would completely transform my life.

Taking an embroidery course was a game-changer; it sparked a passion I hadn’t even known existed. As I developed my skills, I found a deep connection with the art of creating by hand. I also noticed a growing demand for unique, handcrafted items that are both playful and practical, which inspired me to turn my newfound love into a business. The idea of combining my creativity with the artistry of embroidery felt like the perfect way to align my personal interests with my professional goals.

Running my own embroidery business now gives me the freedom to express myself artistically while maintaining a work-life balance that suits my lifestyle. It’s a way to blend my background in visual merchandising with my love for creating meaningful, handcrafted pieces. A.L.Creations isn’t just about making money—it’s about aligning my work with my passions and values, and creating products that bring joy to others.

A.L.Creations, born from a simple birthday gift for my daughter, has grown into a space where I can connect with others who appreciate the beauty of personalised, handcrafted art.
